Ann C. Hurley
Trial Attorney, U.S. Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resources Division
Ann serves as a trial attorney in the Environmental Enforcement Section of the Environment and Natural Resources Division of the US DOJ, one of its largest litigating sections, where she is responsible for bringing civil judicial actions under most federal laws enacted to protect public health and the environment from the adverse effects of pollution. Ann’s work is often focused on recovering damages for injury to natural resources that are under the trusteeship of federal agencies. In 1970, Ann was one of five women who participated in Project Tektite II, a two-week scientific mission in an underwater habitat, consisting of an all-female crew led by Dr. Sylvia Earle. She lives and works in the Bay Area.
